Slavic Magic

In Manor Lords, you are the ruler of the regions under your control. You depict how your settlement evolves and what buildings are constructed. Slavic Magic made sure that historical accuracy plays a large part in how you play Manor Lords. As you gather resources, they will begin to deplete. Considering wood is such a vital material for almost everything, you will need to maintain your timber supply.

You will be cutting trees down more and more as your settlement grows, for firewood, timber, or planks. You will need to replenish the resource as much as you can or you might find yourself freezing to death and running out of wood for construction. To start the regeneration of your timber supply you will need to build a Forester’s Hut.

The Forester Hut will cost two timber and when you assign a family to work as foresters, they will start to replant trees. This will enable whole forests to grow back, creating an equilibrium with nature.

We recommend constructing your Forester Hut near your other wood production structures. That includes Logging Camps, Woodcutter’s Lodges, and Sawpits. This will make it easy to predict which areas you will need to start replanting. Some players have reported a few issues when using the Forester Hut in Manor Lords. It seems some foresters just don’t work as hard as they should and have been seen idle when there is work to do.

Follow these steps to make sure that your foresters are working at all times in Manor Lords. Be aware that you cannot plant trees in the winter because the ground is frozen. When the cold weather hits, have your families work elsewhere if you require extra manpower. It doesn’t make sense to have your workers stand around idle in Manor Lords.

Assign more than one family to the Forester Hut so you can replant as much as you tear down. You should also allocate a certain area for your foresters to plant the new trees. Otherwise, they will waste their time looking for an open space within your settlement.

In Manor Lords, trees take up to two years to grow, so check all areas you have set for regrowth and make sure you do not have anything growing there. Change your allocated areas at least once a year and have more than one Forester Hut. If you cycle the areas you cut down, replant, and let grow every year, you will have a constant supply of wood.

You can try giving your foresters a wider area to replant but it is better to allocate a small area and change it regularly so they always have something to do. Be aware that replanting trees does not replenish berry deposits so keep your woodcutters away from any potential food sources or you could risk losing them.
